~ Many people moving to Longview from larger metropolitan areas fear that “there will be nothing to do.” Well, fear not!

This part of our website will link you to all of the various art and entertainment activities going on in or around town through their websites or our community events calendar. If you are looking for live entertainment, try the Texas Shakespeare Festival, Alley Fest, the Longview Symphony or Opera East Texas. For children, there is Artsview Children’s Theatre. The Longview Ballet, bringing performers from New York City and other elite programs, has two performances a year. The Longview Art Museum offers live performances by artists, both vocal and visual, from all over Texas on a regular basis. We also offer links to the local movie theatre offerings. Have fun!
