Sopapilla Cheesecake

3 (8 oz.) pkgs cream cheese, softened
1 ½ cups sugar
1 tblsp. vanilla extract
2 crescent roll tubes
1 stick butter, melted
½ cup sugar
 2 tsp. cinnamon
¼ cup slivered almonds

Mix together cream cheese, 1 ½ cups sugar and vanilla.
Unroll one tube of crescent rolls in a 13 x 9 baking dish and press the edges together.
Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the crescent roll.
Unroll the other crescent roll tube on top of cream cheese mixture and press edges together.
Pour melted butter over the top crescent roll. Mix ½ cup sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle on top of melted butter.

Sprinkle with slivered almonds. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Cool completely, then refrigerate.
Delicious hot or cold!
