Scalloped Green Beans

2 tbs butter
3 tbs flour
1 tbs prepared mustard
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
½ c milk
½ c grated sharp cheese
2 (16 oz) cans whole green beans, drained
¼ c buttered bread crumbs

In a small saucepan, melt butter.  Blend in flour, mustard, salt and pepper.  Slowly add milk, stirring constantly.  Blend well and cook over medium heat until thick.  Fold in cheese and beans.  Pour mixture into a 2 qt buttered casserole.  Top with bread crumbs. 
Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
