1 1/2 C of grapenut cereal
2 C sugar
2 tbsp flour
1 can evaporated milk
1 carton of whipping cream (optional)
Soak grapenuts in milk until soft. Mix sugar, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Mix flour with just enough milk to dissolve flour, add to egg mixture. Add evaporated milk and whipping cream (if desired). Add grapenuts. Pour mixture into electric ice cream maker canister; fill rest of the way with milk (to fill line). Turn until ice cream consistency has been reached.
