Longview, a city of approximately 75,000 people, is in the heart of Northeast Texas. Its pristine lakes, rolling hills and heavily forested countryside provide background for a dynamic and diverse business climate, making the right corner of Texas one of the state's best kept secrets.
Located 120 miles east of Dallas and 200 miles north of Houston, Longview has progressed from a predominantly agricultural community into a diversified industrial center with over 300 manufactures.

Port facilities are accessible through Houston, Texas and the Red River Inland Waterway in Shreveport, Louisiana, 60 miles east.
For the cultural arts lover, the Longview Community Theatre, Longview Ballet Theatre, Longview Symphony and Opera Longview perform several productions throughout the year. In addition, the Longview Art Museum and Gregg County Historical Museum are known as outstanding examples of community museums.

Longview's Parks and Leisure Services offers year-round organized youth and adult activities from softball to swimming. You can also enjoy the 300+ acres of park land maintained throughout the city.
Longview has an excellent primary, secondary and higher education resource base. Longview ISD, Pine Tree ISD, Spring Hill ISD and White Oak ISD all boast a strong history of excellence in education, outstanding academic programs, and a wide range of extracurricular activities.
The Greater Longview Organization for Business and Education (GLOBE) is a nationally recognized program, initiated by Eastman Chemical company, to challenge students with more sophisticated courses in public school. This program includes higher levels of math, science, literature and geography, designed to provide quantitative and qualitative skills. It is an opportunity for students to take courses that will enable them to excel as they continue their higher education, and to think critically and effectively as they enter the work force.
Excellent private schools include Oak Forest Montessori Schools as well as Crisman Preparatory School. Parochial schools in Longview include Longview Christian Academy, St. Mary's Catholic School and The Trinity School of Texas.
Longview is home to LeTourneau University, a non-denominational Christian university recognized nationally and internationally for its quality programs in engineering, aviation, business and science. In addition, Kilgore College, located in nearby Kilgore, but with a second campus in Longview, is an out-standing comprehensive public junior college.
